Routes and Discount Levels
The promotion is not a flat 30% off every route. Iberia has split destinations into three discount tiers — 30%, 20% and 10% — and applied different cabin-class rules within each tier. The offers below are based on the terms published by Iberia at the time we found the campaign.

Two patterns stand out. The deepest discounts are on long-haul South American routes in Economy, while the 10% tier covers European city breaks and select premium cabins. If your summer plans start in Madrid, the 20% and 30% tiers can stretch your Avios much further than usual.
Sample Avios Prices We Spotted
While searching on iberia.com while logged into an Iberia Club account, we saw these one-way award prices come up. These are examples only. Prices change with dates, demand and availability, so treat them as a starting point.
- Tokyo: from 56,500 Avios
- San Francisco: from 48,000 Avios
- Los Angeles: from 40,000 Avios
- Toronto: from 25,600 Avios
- Tromsø: from 21,000 Avios
These prices illustrate why the sale can catch attention: long-haul Economy seats to North America and Asia for 40,000–56,500 Avios are competitive with many partner-programme awards. The Tromsø option also shows the sale can stretch to shorter European leisure routes, not only intercontinental flights.
Who Can Book It?
You must be an Iberia Club member to see the discounted award rates. Log in to your Iberia Plus account before searching; the reduced Avios prices only appear once you are signed in. If you don’t have an account yet, you can join for free.
Important exclusions:
- The Air Shuttle, Vueling and LEVEL flights are excluded
- Tickets must be purchased through iberia.com or the Iberia contact centre
- The offer is personal and cannot be combined with other Avios promotions running at the same time
How to Book
Log in to your Iberia Club account, search for award flights from Madrid to the destinations above, and the reduced Avios pricing appears automatically for eligible routes and cabins.
If you are short on Avios, Iberia sometimes lets you buy or transfer Avios through the Iberia Plus programme. Before you do, compare the total cost in Avios plus taxes against the cash fare on the same route. A 30% Avios saving can still leave you with hefty carrier surcharges.
Quick booking checklist:
- Sign in or sign up for Iberia Club
- Search for an award flight from Madrid to one of the listed destinations (or the reverse)
- Check the dates fall within 9 June to 15 September 2026
- Confirm the Avios price reflects the discount before completing the booking
- Pay the taxes, fees and any applicable surcharges in cash
Is It Worth It?
This sale works best if you already have Avios and can start your trip in Madrid. The 30% tier to Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, plus the 20% tier to Boston, Toronto and Chicago, can stretch a points balance much further than usual. For European travellers, the practical move is a cheap positioning flight to Madrid, then redeeming the discounted Avios from there.
Reasons to book:
- Up to 30% fewer Avios on selected long-haul routes
- Sample prices such as Los Angeles 40,000 Avios and Tokyo 56,500 Avios can beat partner-programme awards
- Wide travel window: 9 June through 15 September 2026
- European city breaks also benefit from the 10% and 20% tiers
Reasons to pause:
- Taxes and surcharges are not discounted, so cash costs can still be high on long-haul routes
- Discounted award seats are capacity-controlled; not every date will be available
- You must book by 15 June 2026
- If Madrid is not your home airport, factor in positioning time and cost
We have not personally tested this offer on a booking, so treat it as a deal alert. Always confirm pricing, dates and terms on iberia.com before transferring points or committing cash.
