# Midair Times — Editorial Standards

## What we publish

Midair Times publishes first-hand reviews of:

- **Airline products** — long-haul and regional business class, premium economy, and occasionally economy on routes that matter.
- **Airport lounges** — independent (Priority Pass) and airline-branded.
- **Travel gear** — items the author has personally used on the trips covered by the site.
- **Local guides** — practical how-to content tied to the destinations reached by the flights reviewed.

All content is tied to a specific trip, flight, route, or product. The site does not publish generic listicles, "best of" round-ups without personal testing, or content generated from public information alone.

## How reviews are produced

1. **First-hand experience only.** Every airline, lounge, and gear review on Midair Times is based on a flight, lounge visit, or product the author has personally used. Reviews are not based on press releases, manufacturer claims, or other people's reports.
2. **The author flies as a real passenger.** Lasse Dyre, the founder of Midair Times, books and pays for flights the same way a regular traveller would, except in cases where a flight is part of a media or sponsored arrangement (in which case it is disclosed in the review).
3. **The YouTube channel comes first.** The accompanying video review on the @MidairTimes YouTube channel is the primary record. The blog post is the long-form written companion, typically produced from the same trip notes.
4. **No payment for positive coverage.** Midair Times does not accept payment in exchange for a positive review. Affiliate links, where present, are clearly disclosed and never influence the verdict.
5. **Corrections are updated, not patched over.** If a flight, lounge, or product changes in a material way after publication, the article is updated with a "Last updated" date and a note of what changed.

## Author

**Lasse Dyre** is the founder and sole author of Midair Times. He is a seasoned traveller working at the intersection of art and technology, and regularly flies around the world — with a particular focus on East Asia — to give lectures and speeches. He has personally flown the products reviewed on this site, including the Cathay Pacific 777-300ER (FRA–HKG), Cathay Pacific 777-300 (HKG–KIX), and Asiana Airlines A350 (FRA–ICN).
